![]() ![]() For one, there’s the story/lyrics about, seemingly, drunken escapades, but yet you know it’s so much deeper than that. Oozing quality, it’s not simply a Duran Duran classic or an Eighties classic this is simply a classic, period. If that’s the case, I think that’s a massive shame because this is a really great tune. I might be wrong in saying this (and please let me know if I am, all comments are appreciated!) but I don’t think Save a Prayer is regarded as an iconic song of Duran Duran’s in the same way hits like Girls on Film and Rio are. There are a lot of songs of theirs which I like, but for now I’m just gonna talk about one of their best: Save a Prayer. They are easily one of the best and most important acts who were highlights of the 1980s New Wave/Romantic movement. Duran Duran are such an awesome, bad-ass band.
