I can't really recommend Octopath due to my own experience with it either, but as others have said, there's a demo so that you can at least see what the game loop and its other aspects are like. If you can get it for $20 or less, I think it's a worthwhile journey with a personal, focused story, memorable characters, but one-note in terms of environments (and your like/dislike of the music will depend on how much you like pianos LOL). ![]() Setsuna looks like an upscaled Dreamcast/PS2-era title, and not a high budget one at that.īut as I said earlier today, I can't recommend Setsuna at its $40 price point. Same with its visuals, although the aggressive DoF blur and general darkness can be distracting. ![]() The latter demands a lot from you in terms of combat awareness/team setup and time, whereas Setsuna is easy-to-manageable with a boss difficulty spike here and there (but nothing too bad), and can basically be 100%'d in about 25 hours, probably less. I finished Setsuna, but gave up on Octopath. 4y Secret of Mana Seiken Densetsu 3 Final Fantasy VI Illusion of Gaia Terranigma Soul Blazer 3 level 1 PsylentProtagonist 4y Also, keep an eye on Project Octopath Traveler by Square.
